Rehearsals
The band rehearses on Tuesday nights from September to June in King's Park Parish Church. Learners and junior band meet from 7pm - 8pm, followed by the main band from 8pm - 9:30pm.
Getting there
King's Park is located on the south side of Glasgow, about 3 miles from the city centre. The church is at 242 Castlemilk Road (postcode G44 4LB), off King's Park Avenue, and can be found on the map below.
By train
From Central Station, there are 2 trains an hour to Kings Park/Croftfoot on the Newton line. Get off the train at Croftfoot (one stop after Kings Park). Exit the station onto King's Park Avenue, turn left and Castlemilk Road is a 5 minute walk away on the right.
By bus
From the city centre, take First Bus No. 75 from Ingram Street or Glassford Street. Get off at the junction of Menock Road and Castlemilk Road. Walk through the underpass under the railway line, and cross King's Park Avenue onto Castlemilk Road.
By car
There is ample parking available on Castlemilk Road.
