Originally from East London, Emily is a graduate of both the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, completing her Bachelor of Music (Honours) and Master of Music (Distinction) degrees respectively. In 2020, she furthered her performance studies at The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland as part of the ERASMUS+ programme. 

Emily enjoys a very varied freelance career and balances her love for performing alongside her teaching duties as a peripatetic brass instructor for the Glasgow City Council. 

As well as conducting the senior and youth bands at King's Park Brass, Emily can be found performing around the UK as an original member of Triquetra Brass Trio and with various theatre pit orchestras and function bands around Scotland.
